Christmas is looming..

Or at least that’s what the shops would have us believe! All around are twinkly lights and festive red and green colour schemes.
I keep half-expecting Santa to jump out from shop doorways and rugby tackle unsuspecting shoppers into the stores!
I’m all for seasonal festive-based cheer (my journeys to Starbucks for gingerbread lattes are enough to prove that) but dare I say it- I’d usually say that “Maybe it’s a little too early to bring on the Yule?”

This year however I’m playing devils advocate (or do I mean Tiny Tim from Christmas Carol) Maybe this year we should start Christmas early- this year has had a lot of gloom and doom (and recession and rain...) maybe everyone deserves to put the tree up early and start consuming mince pies....maybe....
