I went to the launch of the Women in Nottingham group last night at the Contemporary art gallery. I met lots of interesting women from various workplaces around the city and it was inspiring to see how many senior roles are held by women in Notts currently. The group will work together to try and promote the city on a positive light- we need to move away from the negative stereotypes associated with Notts!

Relaxing Cornish style
I have just returned from a week in Cornwall and am struggling to get back into the reality of city living and being in an office all day. I really enjoyed the laid back style, walking on the beach and sheltering in cosy pubs when the weather wasn't so great. I didn't even get mobile phone signal for most of the week so it was a real break from the normal bustle of everyday life. Thoroughly recommended for at least once a year to get away from it all!
